Default How to clean Power Steering filters?

I have been reading that it makes sense to change the power steering oil and clean both filters. Can anyone help with how to go about finding the filters? I have a 99 LS400 with just 50K. Thanks

I've never heard of a filter for a Power Steering system. My Toyota van has almost 300,000 miles now and I have only changed the fluid 3x in its life and so far so good. Regarding your LS, I really doubt that it has a filter. I stand to be corrected. I'm curious to know.

There are two filters. One is the screen at the bottom of the resevoir bottle. Another is a plastic mesh screen mounted to the power steering rack solenoid. You have to remove the solenoid from the rack, then slide the screen of and clean it. Can be a big job if your not familiar with doing it.
