Default reverse side mirrors

On my 98 ls400 when I put the car in reverse the side mirrors drop down to show the street curve but, on the passenger side doesn't move. All the other functions of the mirrors work. Anyone else out their has the same problem.

Gary,

Try moving the mirror adjust switch to "R" and see if that works. If it's in the middle, where the adjustments are turned off, then there will be no movement of either mirror in reverse. If that doesn't work, check your fuses.

Default Reverse mirror - TSB

There is a TSB issued for the reverse mirror on the '98 model year. Check alldata.com. Contact your Lex dealer and they'll/should fix it for you at no charge.

For those that the car mirror DOESNT angle down in reverse there is a kit that is sold RMK285.

A kit so the lights blink when the doors lock / unlock ABK289.

With the mirrors there is the option for them to fold when the engine is turned off RMKOOA.

The price varies depending on the car, All Made by Data systems.

For those that know cool, just putting out info incase some dont know.

Hey Guys I have a 98 Also.

On the 98 ONLY the Passenger side angle Down the Driver side does NOT.

The changed that for 99 and then BOTH side angle down. Below is the Link and an Exerb telling you the Diff between a 98 and 99.
