Default Reversing with mirrors question ...

When I put the vehicle in reverse, the door mirrors tilt down slightly.

Can I adjust the default angle of the mirrors when reversing ?

OK thanks very much for your reply The X men

BTW: Is there a way to stop the mirrors from tilting down when in reverse?

^If I remember correctly you can turn it off somewhere. Check the manual.

all you have to do is not have the mirror setting on L or R. You have to have it on the middle no selection and it will not tilt down in reverse

Yeah, that's the only minor gripe I have. I like to lock it so I don't accidentally hit the button and change the mirror. I rather have the setting to be on the NAV screen.

Not so. There may be a way to turn it off (I don't know why anyone would want to turn off such a helpful feature) but the setting of the switch has no effect.

Every time I back up, I appreciate that feature. When moving from reverse to drive, the mirrors always go back to their pre-sets for the driver.

Yep, deselect the R and L and the tilting stops. Select R or L and tilting starts. You can adjust them while tilted and then return to the memorized position by putting the car in drive.

Even when you wash your car and accidentally get them all whooper jawed, pushing the memory button sets them back in place. Seems to do no harm moving them by hand, but sure sounds horrible.

I dont think they turn down far enough. On the 2gen RX it tilted down quite a bit, more so on the driver's side. It isnt enough to see the curb now
