Default Another code 13 thread

So, today i took it upon myself to finally figure out what this CEL is and if you've read the title of the thread... its code 13... what a lucky number, right?

I checked my timing marks on both cams and they all line up just fine.
I check resistance of both cam sensors. Both read between 1100-1200ohms

I read somewhere to check the ECU but I forgot what link it was and haven't found it since. The car has had the CEL code for the longest since I've had the car for almost a year. I've done my oil changes and spark plugs and wires since I purchased the car. When i bought the car the seller claimed to have changed the timing belt and water pump. Timing belt appears to be fine.

Later today, after I checked the timing and resistance of the cam sensors, I was pulling into a gas station to get some gas. The car was on E. It died as I pulled into the gas station. I get gas, run a few more errands and the car dies at the light when it turns green and I attempt to move off the line. I manage to start the car again and catch all the lights home... no CEL until I pull into my driveway and the car is at idle.

IDK if i ran the car to low on gas or this is still related to the CEL.

Does anybody have any idea what it could be?

Cleaned my crank sensor and the car doesn't shut off anymore. Then the wire for the crank sensor was rubbing on the drive belt and... yup, had to re do that little bit of wiring. Car is back on the road now though after like a week of continuous rain. YAY Florida weather. Still have the same CEL code though.

Didn't you damage the CPS electrically when the wires were rubbing?

i doubt it. It was only the black wire that rubbed off and was nearly ripped all the way through.

The black wire is the active side called NE+ and the white wire, NE- and is grounded at the ECU.
Many electronics industries use the black wires for the ground lines but Toyota uses black wires for the active lines very often.
