I replaced the timing belt and water pump per the tutorials online and also with the service manual. I wound up going by the service manual since a few key items were left out of the tutorials I read.
Everything went back together fine, but when I started it I got a code 13 (RPM signal circuit 2). I seached here and checked my timing, it's at 8 degrees before TDC which is in specs, tested all 3 sensors ( 2 cam and 1 crank) and they are all I little low (about 770 ohms) instead of minimum of 835 per the serv manual, but not by much.
What else could it be other than the ECM? I had no codes before the timing belt change, it has to be related to this repair, right? With timing correct, I don't think I have a skippng belt, the code comes up within a couple of seconds after resetting.
I also replaced the plugs, wires, caps and rotors..maybe some problem there?
Any thoughts are appreciated..

It purrs like a kitten but lining up the cams shows the crank advanced, must have moved a bit installing it. I think I'll be redoing the belt
Don't get that the timing shows it right on though..

Well, after this second time I'll be real good at it, wish I could help you with yours Celsior! It's hard to really mess it up but easy to get the timing off just a little it appears and it didn't help that I was doing it at 2am so the neighbors wouldn't be coming over wanting to talk/help/give useless advice.
After reading and thinking about it, it appears that the ECM adjusts the timing to be correct. The cam sensors aren't happy so I'll adjust the belt to clear the fault code and I'll post the results when I'm done.

Problem fixed! 7 hours to redo the timing belt per the service manual, not the tutorial, and all is good. I guess the belt slipped a couple of teeth when the tensioner was put on and unloaded, seems I missed it. The key is to put the belt on the crankshaft first and follow the instructions to lock it down before even messing with the cam pulleys. It was much harder to get it right doing it that way but it sure won't come off the crankshaft!
good to hear, yea my cars timing is off and i def need to get it fixed.
u can hear it missing in this exh video i took a while back. http://s254.photobucket.com/albums/h...t=MOV00853.flv
