Default after hitting a deep pothole

Los Angeles....under the bridge national and 10fwy. at first I know something broke then I start to notice my steering wheel had developed memory steer

so I stopped by the gas station and lifted my car to check if my rack and pinion is loose...and yes it was and not only was it loose the ball joint inside the rubber boot had also been damaged and wiggles to about a quarter of an inch.

Now what sucks is that I bought the rack and pinion about a year ago and didn't come with warranty so Fml

LA roads are so damn mean to my car. Just a month ago I had to replace my wheel studs for hitting another pothole. Has anyone ever experienced this or am I that cursed. My wife hates my car now and I don't blame her. It is lowered and now I'm thinking about getting an suv.

roads round here can be pretty treacherous, ya just gotta have eyes like a hawk, you'll learn quickly if your rims and suspension is at stake

Don't you just love paying boatloads of taxes expecting things like potholes to get fixed?

Sorry to hear about the damage man, good luck in fixing it. (And finding a good price!)

lol warranty wont help you when they realize it's impact damage.

tbh, i've bbeen driving my lowed LS for years, and also through some crappy roads, both in LA and the OC/IE and the worst i've had is a coupled dead tires from road debris/tire treads.

Your wife has no reason to hate the car, who controls the car, you or does it magically drive itself around? You drive a lowered car, you haveto pay attention to where your going have fun with your SUV

It happens and with still enough potholes from the rains, they have not all been patched. I leave plenty of distance for the car in front so that I can see what the road is like.
