3rd brake light question

Default 3rd brake light question
Is there a connector to the third brake light? If so, what is the easiest way to get to it? It seems like the "right" side of my 3rd brake light is working and the left side isn't working.

THus getting a "light out" in my instrument cluster warning light. Really bothering me.

The whole 3rd brake light housing pops UP out of the rear deck.

It says in the owners manual to put some paper or something around a flathead screwdriver (to protect from gouging) and pry it up.

There are 4 pressure fittings, one on each corner and it pops right out.


Probably just a burnt out bulb!!

Thanks! Will check it when I get home. Really bothering me. Is it difficult to replace the bulbs?

Just make sure you do everything gently or you'll scratch plastic or break connectors.

Looks like there are 2 bulbs in there. Drivers side bulb is black and out. Will see tomorrow if local auto place has it for sale.
