How hard is it to convert the front of a 90-94 front to a crown majesta front?

It's not hard if you have a deep enough wallet.
What year Majesta?
You've found a source for these parts?

I think he is referring to the onslought of Crown Majesta parts which have been popping up on EBAY lately. They are claiming to be able to fit the LS, especially the first gen. I'm not gonna lie, I even looked and pondered these myself. Also there is another source for the first gen 1 piece headlight there other than the ones offered by Celsior2K.

Hehehe....eBay, what a wonderful place! I too have noticed an increase in JDM VIP (OEM) car parts on eBay. I must admit, the Crown Majesta's have nice grilles

I am a very avid Toyota Crown fan, in fact i learned to drive in a Crown back in Trinidad. My father also imports cars from Japan to Trinidad where he still lives so I have access to hundreds of japanese car auction websites.

In all the years that i have been working with japanese cars i have never seen that conversion and i know for a fact that the Crown and LS are completely different chassis (we've done lots of chassis transplants with crowns). I think that this mod would be really complex but would be quite interesting to see done though.

The grilles on the two cars mount quite differently.

Crown Majesta

LS400/Celsior

Notice that the Majesta's grille shows some of the hood around the sides while the LS does not.

Not that i dont think it would be interesting but I don't know how well this mod would work out.

Also, the parts listed on ebay are from different cars.

The trunk and lights are from a 95 to 98 Crown Royal Saloon.
PICS

The grille is from a 91 to 94 Crown Majesta.

Thanks alot for clearing that up. As funny as it may seem, I truly was considering trying to do a crown tail light conversion to a first gen LS LOL!!!!!! Of course with the help of my bodyshop guy.

Default Crown = GS

I thought the Crown was basically the same chassis as the Lexus GS. I thought I read that somewhere. Not sure where now.

If someone can import the latest Crown sedan into the USA that would be awesome. They have left hand drive versions of them in China.

The Crown is the same chassis as the GS now however back then it didnt share a chassis with anything else.

Most of the ones we transplanted actually had full frame chassis...kind or what most people would associate with a pickup truck. The Crown stopped carrying that full frame chassis in aug 1995 with the S151 frame.

I think the shared chassis began with the gen2 Aristo which would be around 1997.

Can you thenconvert a GS to a Crown majesta? If so, what year GS would work to get the 12th gen majesta?

There has only been 4 generations of Majesta thus far, and only the 3rd and 4th gen ones coincide with the GS frame (2nd and 3rd gen).
