My '93 LS400 mirror does not adjust up and down. I can hear the motor operating but nothing moves. How hard is it to open up the mirror to examine the gears ?

 

Lexusguy I'm also curious since I want to change mirror bodies and I havn't quite figured out how to take the guts out of the mirror shell. I can see a couple of small screws inside that look like they are holding the mirror to the shell but I'm concerned that getting the screws back in will be tough. Four Door.
