I'm looking for the brightest white 194 bulb preferably halogen. I'm trying to light up the front parking lights of my '10 RX 350 more towards the cosmetic side than function. I know that LEDs are brighter but they do not fill the housing as well as halogens unless there is one out there that does it very well. I currently have 5w PIAA bulbs and was wondering if there is anything brighter.
I am sure if you look around enough you will find an LED that will fit. 194 is probably the most common bulb type made in LED these days.
Perhaps ask on the RX forum about what they've done. I do know what it's like to have an LED not fit. Always buy from a reputable brand that accepts returns, the ones that don't are usually very cheap to begin with though.
Oh sorry. I guess I worded it weirdly. I have tried V-LEDs and they do fit. It was just that their light output does not fill up the entire housing. The parking lights in the 2010 RX 350 looks kinda like eyes to me so I want a bulb that really throws out light in all directions to fill up the housing.
These 194 LED bulbs would fit in the RX parking lights. I will contact Putco to get the wattage information as I do not have that readily available thought.
The RX uses 921 bulbs for the reverse lights. We do sell 921 LED bulbs however they are not going to be "brighter" than your stock bulb. This will be a cosmetic upgrade!
Do the Philips bulbs also throw light out around it or just straight forward? My current bulbs are 7W. I'm hoping the Putco ones are brighter. I'll order tomorrow as soon as I find out if the Philips are 360degrees or not. Thanks for the help!
Mine is the Philips T10 Parking lights as well except they are Ultinon, however the design is similar to that of the BlueVision. From the picture, it's not quite a 360 degree but it does look good, depending on your preference.
If I were to go 360, you could also look into JLC Lighting as well. JLC Lighting is under forum member vendor "Auto Design" and does give discount to CL members. Need to contact him directly in PM for pricing.
Here. They look idential to Ultinon. I am not fimilar with BlueVision either even thou I have seen them on the Philips site and have seen them on the web.
