I used the search both on this forum and google, but couldn't find an answer, so I thought that I'd ask.

I know many of you have changed out the Nike lights in our LS's, but could you Please tell me what is the longest bulb that would fit in there? If you'd happen to know the biggest diameter, that would be Greatly Appreciated too. The ones that I'm looking at are 41mm (1.61417") x

I'm asking because I want to put an LED (amber) in there and have it look like when Tee and CJITTY put the 921 in it. I like the look of the pimps matching the Nike light.

Yes it will fit believe it or not there is a lot of room in the housing, I lost two bulbs in one light b/c the cheap wedge bulbs were loose. The 921's are bigger than LED bulbs and we were surprised they fit, whatever you go with make sure you want that bulb b/c it is not a fun mod. This mod is right up there with the puddle lights under the mirrors far as time consuming for first timers.

Yep i did my puddles last night wasnt as easy as i thought it would be.

 

I changed the Nike lights today .
Used t10 led lights.

I gotta say you gotta have some small hands to get this done . It's not impossible but it's pretty hard. I didn't want to damage anything so it took a while. Few small cuts here and there and j was done in about 40 minutes .
Probably 15 minutes if I ever have to do this again, and I hope I never have to.

Results are stunning. With DRLs off and Nike lights matching factory HIds, I an. Wry happy with the outcome.

Which bulbs did you get and are they bright?

 

Ahh..this is bringing back memories. My fingers have finally grown back after being worn down by the dreaded Nike light swaps of 2011 lol....don't miss that mess at all! My 600 has no Nike light anymore.. Just 1/3 of the Addidas stripes haha
