i ordered 2 kits during the black friday sale and got them today. i was suprised how fast they came.. will post pics once i hook them up

 

Ordered mine friday and got it tuesday. fast shipping

Everything works good as of now and everything was plug and play.

Only thing is the 3k to me is not yellow enough but im happy with my purchase

 

^^^ Yap, same here, so far so good, not yellow enough to me either. But does 3k supposed to flicker when starting up?

 

yeah mine does flickers a little when start up...its not even yellow...its lime green...

 

Yes, same here, flicker during "cold" start; it starts up in lime green and slowly turns to yellow, but not really "dark" yellow, wonder if those are working as expected.

 

so its not only me with the not so yellow bulbs...i have yellow overlays and the 3k and its a greenish yellow.

 

Do you guys have the slim or regular ballast? Mine is regular, wonder if that makes the difference.

 

i'm wondering too^ any word on the ballast type?

mine 3000k fogs were flickering too on startup.. and also are greenish yellow..idk if it has to do foglamp

 

sounds like a bad batch of bulbs that were sent to hidextra...hopefully they chime in here.

 

my set of 5000k h11s had been flickering after i have installed
at first it was only one side(driver side flickering)
i drove it around for 20 minutes and still flicking
(also one time that the driver side one could not fire up, i have to turn the car off and wait for a couple of minutes)
so i've decided to change the ballast for both sides but after that both sides started to flick

i didn't have a relay harness so i guess it is the problem?
but i also don't want to drill holes on the plastic cover =\

does anyone know what the problem is?

 

imagine if you didnt have overlays...i was thinking about overlays but i said nah..i rather get some non hid bulbs i think they're more yellow then these hids...

I just looked at bulbs to replace em so i can just give these hids to my brother but the bulbs are $30 and the whole kit cost me $30...i might just thrash em because i dont even turn my fogs on anymore because theyre green

 

I got my kit today...ordered H7 kit for my 2008 BMW 5 series. (My lexus has HID standard)...
The packaging was EH...for the guys with all the flickering issues did you get error cancellators/anti flicker cables? I got them with my kit but I am not installing it getting someone else to do it ...Just thought that cable might help some of you with the flickering issue.

8k supposed to be blue or light blue? Or white with blue? Every kit is different I don't know if anyone has the 8k kit from HIDextra.
