swap bulbs left to right and see if problem persists.. process of elimination.

yea i figured that, ballasts are built like rock these days.

get some nice branded HID bulbs.. they were designed to last the "life time" of the car

hm.. i have similar problems with my yellow HID fogs... can this also solve my problem? i have a cheap Ebay kit.... thing is... both fogs are off sometime.. turn the fogs off and on.. and they stay on... sometimes when you start the car.. both turn on... or just one.... kind of a mystery to me...

^^sometimes the connection is a little iffy. I had that problem on my low beams and I just wiggled the ballast wires and bulb wires and lit them up again and now they're back to normal. Try making sure each connection is secure first

It's not the bulbs.. it's either the ballast or ignitors.. lots of aftermarket kits have this symptom of one not coming on then when you turn it off for a while and turn it back on they both fire up again. My xenondepot kit is like this so is my DMM kit for my volvo. Although it happens much less on the one on my Volvo it still happens occasionally.
