Unless you are thinking of doing a front end conversion you wont be able to fit the Q45s in the SC. The following pictures should give you an idea as to how big the Qs are in perspective to the TSX projectors, also know that the TSX would fit the SC but would be a tight fit nonetheless.

These fit in the 2GS like a charm, on the SC, might look a little like HID rally lights...

The Q45s also fit the 2nd Gen GS as well. In there you still have to mod a few things to get them to clear but it is possible. I've done a few myself

Do the lines effect output that much? Can I just leave them or is sanding them down ideal?

Do most of you guys just make the brackets or is there a place to buy them?
The lines do affect the output because they diffuse the beam ,I had a first gen gs with tsx projector and the lines from my lense killed it so I spent a couple hours after work sanding it clear and the output was much improved, best suggestion is sand the portion directly in front of the projector those lines are thinner and easier the other lines are thicker and take mucho scrubbing power aka(a lot of work)
