I love the HID look but not planning on upgrading any time soon cuz other mods I need to do. So I took out the Silverstar Ultra halogen bulbs in my car and replaced them with a pair of old Cool Blue bulbs from my old car. All the bulbs are made by Sylvania as many know. The Cool Blue match even better with the Polarg M6 wedge bulbs and LED corner bumper bulbs. The Cool Blue have a nice crisp ocean blue look to them as HID bulbs produce but nowhere near as bright as HID's. The CB's are not bright as the SilverStar Ultra's I had in there. I'm now thinking to replace the foglights with CB's too. I'll post pics of the look.
Mr G
I was thinking of donig the same thing to my DRL's to get rid of that yellow color. Please post some pics if you put them in the High-beams.
Thanks
You will not be able to get rid of the yellow from the DRL. The DRL operates the high-beam bulb at only a fraction of the power so it almost always has that color to it no matter what bulb you put in, I put in very very blue bulbs and they are still yellowish with an awkward blue mix from the reflector housing. About the only thing you can do is to put yellow bulbs in there and your DRLs will be a solid yellow like the 1IS/2GS fogs.

I did that on day one. Your fogs will be a very bright yellow.

Have you tried Luminics Pure Blue? I just replaced the factory high beams for a set of Luminics Pure Blue 9005 in my RX350 and I don't think the reduced wattage DRL looks yellowish at all, actually looks white and slightly purpleish. Of course the drawback is that the highbeams at 100% are very, very blue which sucks for visibility. But what hell, I rarely use the highbeams anyway. I only cared about to getting rid of the yellow DRL's. I'll take some pictures and post later.
