need help with HID upgrade
hello everyone. I purchased a pair of HID headlights w/ bulbs and ballasts from a higher model GS. I want to ask how hard would it be to install and wire it to my non HID GS300.is it plug and play or do I have to cut and splice wires to make it work? Any help would be appreciated. thanks.

just for the record, you dont need that whole separate harness. i did it without that. so did a lot of other members on here. some people say it will burn your wires but no one has had any problems yet. i just bought a pair of 9006 mail plugs from www.suvlights.com and splice them onto the OEM hid ballast wires. plugs right up afterwards and its a super clean install if you do it right.

i just used the OEM connector to connect mine... the funny thing is i guess it made me burn out my light switch in the car... i am not sure if it is because of the HID or what... but a couple of days later it burnt out and i just changed it out and its been fine since... i hope you are not tryin to make it auto-level too... its a pain in the butt....
why is it so hard to do the auto-level? Im trying to put HID's on my car but i dont want to lose the auto-leveling. Is it really that hard? Also does anyone have HID headlight housing for sale? Thx in advance
The auto-leveling has its own computer (mounted on the driver side headlight). It's not easy as plug-n-play. Each wheel has its own sensor, and the instrumental gauge also has a light for it incase something goes wrong. There will be a jungle of wires to play around with, and more than likely, you'll find yourself very frustrated while fondling around with it.
Auto-leveling isn't that awesome anyways. I could live without it. I've been in cars without the leveler and there is hardly any difference.
