I got a Set of HID, but the bulb is not for 9006 SC headlights. I got a H9 bulb instead. Can anyone help me to rebase it? I am a noob at HID. Plz PM me if anyone can help. Thanks

What are you trying to do? Neither H9 nor 9006 are HID bulbs, they are both halogens.

I got the D2S/D2R based H9 bulb, need to shave off some of the base so I can fit it to my headlight housing.

You might have to do more than shave the base to get it to fit, the focal point of the capsule has to line up correctly in order to get a proper beam pattern.

I highly doubt anyone local has done it or is willing to do it for you. You might want to ask http://www.illusion-lighting.com/

No prob. Did you ask them to exchange the bulb for the correct one? If it was bought through a private sale, then I could understand them not being able to (even though it's still wrong on their part), but if it was through a dealer or Ebay, then they should exchange it for you without any question.
