Since we're on the topic of blue and purple.

I have an '03 SC430. What is the exact OEM HID in this car?

When, I turn on the headlights, initially there's a slightly different color ( I wanna say light bluish yellow) and a few seconds later, it's white.

Within legal limits, if you I wanted blue output, what do you recommend?

thanks....teeman3

1) stock bulbs are 4300k. all bulbs on any hid equipped cars are 4100-4300k. i believe the bulbs on sc430 are philips, can't remember anymore

2) initially it's a bit different coz' it's being ignited and it's reaching its operational color temperature

3) anything other than the stock bulbs are illegal. but i have 6000k philips bulbs, never a problem

it runs OEM Phillips 4300K bulbs in either D2R or D2S depending on whether ur car has reflectors or projects. easiest and most legal "blue" lights you could get is a pair of Phillips Ultinon 6000k HID bulbs. should be no more than $150 on ebay MAX.
