yea...my 6000k hid kit in my sc300 is white on the floor but from far away it has a slight bluish tint to it. I believe all lexus hid were 4300k but BMW hids are usually around 6000k - 8000k.

nope. ALL oem hid's are 4100-4300k bulbs. the reason BMW and Audi lights SEEM to be blue is the unique optics in the projectors. the easiest way to prove thios would be to look at a BMW driving towards you with its HID's on, notice how the lights themselves seem blueish purple but the actual light that is on the ground in front of them is a slightly yellower color than the projector. the light on the ground will be 4300k or so.
Thanks. If I get one from the 9000-12000K range, will I get the purple light on my IS350?
Will the high kelvin burn the interior wirings? I was searching the 6000k bulbs on ebay, and why they posted a picture of 6000k with purple?
is there a specific reason you want an EXTREME purple/green output (thats what 9-12000k is) on your dd? not only is it blatantly illegal its dangerous to other drivers becuase of the massive amounts of glare it produces and on long trips that high a color temp WILL fatigue your eyes.
i found that my 6000k in my retrofits cause a slight tinge of purple... friends commented on my lights looking purple when it had the prizm effect. in fact you can see the purple in the cutoff which explains the purple flicker...

2nd option - what K is yellow?
at 9000-12000k? you should worry about whether there will be light at all yes it's going to be very very purple, and at the same time it's going to be ridiculously dim too

Yup...I think you should be more worried about even being able to see well at night. The high temp of the light like stated above will fatique your eyes as well as other driver's eyes. The highest light output I would suggest ever going would be 8000k, personally I prefer 6000-6500k.
My 10000k just came in yesterday and had it installed. Damn, I wish I had a 6000k. It is true about the fatigue thing. The color looks more ''cool'' so your eyes seem to draw themselves to sleep. But overall, it is better than stock I should say.
i think sometimes it depends on what kind of HID kit it is.. I tend to notice that different brands with different temp comes out different colors.. some kits have 6000k as white/purple while others are white/blue
