Hi all, my first post i've seen a lot pics on this forum and on the web of people's HID lights, and i know that cameras don't always capture the true color of HID lights well, and different brands of HID may have somewhat different colors even for the same temperature.

I wanted to change my HID. And i'm debating between these:

Garax 6000 or 8000
Xtreme 6000 or 8000 from Xenon Depot.

Could anyone with any of these HID describe to me what color they see in real life? basically how blue or how white they are?

I want something where you could tell there's blue, but not to the point where i risk getting pulled over by cops. At first i was gonna go with 8000K, but now i'm worried that it might be too blue (or at least depending on the brand). And at the same time, i don't know if 6000K would just look bright white in real life.

any input especially regarding the Garax and Xtreme would be appreciated! thx!

 

I have Garax 8000k .I try them all Philips 85122+ 4200k and Philips 6000k like Garax 8000k the best

 

Yeah then you would want above 6000K... I'd go for 4800K and no stronger than 6000K in the near future.

 

i agree, for our vehicles the 5k-6k looks the best..
