HID headlight cutting out
How do your bulbs look? could be the bulbs are old and the voltage is getting to high for the ballast to support. Check the ground connections. Also since the power is central going to both of the headlights ot definatly not the relay or anything before it.
mine did that and eventually wouldn't turn on at all, had to get it replaced..
unforunately for me i didn't know of phillips so i had to buy OEM which doesn't even match my other O***s so i'm pissed but what you gonna do you know..? good luck

check the contacts of the bulb...make sure its set in properly. As others have suggested....swap with the other side to see if it does the same thing on the driver-side....if it does...you know its NOT the bulb....and probably the ballast or wires between the bulb and ballast.
Good luck.

Thanks a lot guys for all the input, used a loaner 4000K bulb today, and found out my 8000K bulb was bad. What is a reliable source for some Hid bulbs? - these previous only last me 1 year,
