Thumbs up Legitimate Option To HID/XENON...!

Just received these in the mail yesterday from the exclusive seller on Ebay (direct ties to Asian manufacturer). I'm eventually going to do a true HID kit for my new 05' Pathfinder, until then, I decided to at least buy the highest quality "halogen-type HID-look" bulbs I could find.
Enter the MTEC 4750k Cosmos Blue (various sizes available). I didn't expect nothing more than a nicer, whiter, look than halogen.... boy was I in for a INCREDIBLE surprise!
Upon turning them on in the garage, I immediately noticed a better and brighter look over my Yukon's Sylvania Silver Stars. But when I pulled out front.... the street was illuminated like true Xenon/HID! I'm not one to over-exaggerate by any means, but guys trust me... these plug&play HID bulbs are "OFF THE CHARTS".
I'll post pics this weekend, until then, you can read up on them here: http://cgi.ebay.com/ebaymotors/ws/eB...category=33710

By the way, the Mrs. and I are L O V I N G the new Pathfinder!

sounds like a good alternative. i personally can't afford HID's so i'd interested in a sub
$100 alternative. i wonder what lifetime warranty entails. did they tell you? i wouldn't want to pay 40 something to have the bulbs for a 6 months then burn out.

EDIT: I asked him and he said
"As long as the bulb is not working, you just send it back for exchange."
so this sounds like a good deal.

I agree 100%! I asked the seller (Steve Tseng) through email about this, and he in fact stated that should they "burn out", return them and as long as they haven't been damaged externally, he'd ship out another set.

Sylvania Silver Stars are a pretty good alternative too! Congrats on the Pathfinder, btw!

Sweet find TX! I currently have PIAA Xtreme Whites (4150K), which have been running great for 1-1/2 years in my ES. Looks like I might have a cheaper and more efficient replacement for them soon

BTW everyone, MTEC sells those Cosmos Blue bulbs in different types (i.e. H1, H3, H7, 9004, 9006, etc.) on Ebay, so there should be a bulb size for everyone

NICE, but at 100W be careful not to burn out your wires.

i believe the site says it's still 65 W but it's output is similar to 100W. at least that's what i inferred from it.

Actually the consumable rating is specified at 55W, which is the same as in the stock low beam bulbs of all or most Lexus vehicles, so you're good

hei... those are the ones i got today....

those are the ones I got the first time you guys ever mentioned "hid like" bulbs back in 2000... I got them for 19.95. I thought these were made in china cheap imitation? maybe these are actually made in japan.. i couldn't tell the difference between the writing. anyway, going to go put mines on later on tonight.
