Legitimate Option To HID/XENON...!
#67
I ordered two sets last month for my lows and fogs. I've used Silverstars and PIAAs and they burned out too quickely. My PIAAs blew a month ago and I found the MTECs and ordered one set. They came and I was shocked at how well they lit the road up. The color was perfect and even though I am looking for a good set of HIDs to stick in, I don't have $400 to casually drop on a HID kit so this alternative gives me a little more time to look.
Now these lights won't light up the block like HID, but it comes closer to any other halogen that I have ever used, and I have went through plenty. There are actually 3 sets of lights in my trunk that I have used and taken out. I was so pleased with the MTECs that I bought a set of the yellow 9006s for my fogs, so now i've saved some money by not purchasing the yellow housings for the fogs and these give me exactly what I want for now.
Now, keep in mind, I will be buying a set of HIDS for the lows and once I can find a set of yellow housings for the fogs I will get those two, but now they aren't on my major prioroty list and it can wait until summer or when I can find a good deal on them. These bulbs are a great alternative and very popular with the ricers who have been using them for a while......at least they got one thing right

I thought these were made in china cheap imitation? maybe these are actually made in japan.. i couldn't tell the difference between the writing. anyway, going to go put mines on later on tonight.

Its Japanese lettering.
the 100w to 55w means that these bulbs have the same output of light as a 100watt bulb.
Its not implying anything about power usage or output.
Light is actually measured in Lumens, or candlewatts but why complicate things on something simple as a light bulb.
