Footwell light bulbs
Just to clarify and not to take credit for someone else's work, those instructions I posted were off of Earl!'s LS400 website....all the credit belongs to him. I went with super white in my ignition light and not blue like Earl! did in his DIY instructions....it was just a matter of personal preference since every light in my interior (with the exception of the vanity mirrors) is super white to match my cluster...and trust me on this one, the super white led in the ignition matches my cluster almost perfectly.

I think the pic that I attached to my earlier post is super white. The hyperlink to Earl!'s DIY instructions has pics of the blue led in the ignition...that's what 04GS300 is referring to.
Edit: Dang, you guys reply quick!
josey...I was wondering if it was white or blue in the pic, which is why I asked Henry. I think it could be white because my whites have a slight blue tinge to them, but you may be right since the body of the LED is blue in the pics. When I get them, I'll probably just get one of each and decide what I like better because I think blue might look better anyway (matching the gauge cluster).
How did you get into the vanity mirrors? Do the light covers just pop off? This is the final piece of the puzzle! Can you post pics?
Henry, you want to order me a white and a blue 74 with your order and stick it in an envelope for me? I'll paypal you a few bucks!
i will keep you ind mind buddy
haha brian, that shows how not often do you check the forum
That was one of my first posts after waking up this morning...so it kinda took longer than usual to reply back.
LOL Henry...look who's talking!

anyway, yes, the vanity light is very easy to change, the lens pop right out with the slightest clip with a flat head screw driver
oh and 04GS300, you are most welcome man!
Also, I solved the vanity mirror bulb problem . I am using Polargs M-24 feston ones 12volts 5watts. They are exactly like the 3022s but skinnier, fit perfectly; I have them installed and look wonderful.

OK....we got the #74 in the ignition, glove box, and footwells (for the GS).
Where else uses #74?
Pete
the light in the ashtray/cigarette lighter, i didn't have time to check that out, anyone has any idea about it?
not sure if there are still any other light in the car we haven't touched
Uh...where did you get the M-24s? I can't find them anywhere. Lots of M-1 through M-23, but no 24

the m24 looks EXACTLY light the doom light for the is300 i got a while ago. i think i have a spare one right in my garage, if i have time i will try it out tonight and see how it looks
somehow i thought the m24 is a lot "fatter" than the one in the vanity mirror

cluster lighting also uses 74
Have anyone tried getting to the cluster backlighting? Not sure if its worth doing...unless you gonna do the lighting for the A/C and stereo unit too....which is a whole new ball of wax.
