On mine, the glove box light is on the top right in the front, but like I said it looks like a sealed enclosure for the light, and I didn't want to start prying on it without seeing what some others have done.

i just came back from the garage looking at the GS

the glove box one, you take out the whole housing, it's not sealed at all. put a flat head on either side of the len (there are place for you to slip in the flat head), twist, and it's opened. very easy

ok, i am done, going to order two footwell, glove box, and the ignition

now someone tell me how the hell am i supposed to do the ignition? from BRIAN's post i only need one huh?

ok, damn.... i was so ready to order, but the 6-led super white 194 is out of stock and won't be in stock at least until 7/2..... so i guess i will have to hold off until then to buy everything together to save the shipping then.....

damn..... at least this time i am sure what to buy

on a side note, can someone tell me how the heck can i change the igniition LED. i am going to order one #74 for the iginiton too, assumption the GS has the same setup as the LS. anyone with more info?

also (this question is for my friend), since the backup light for 01+ taillights are polarg m6 (#168 i believe?), that means he can also use the 6-led wedge huh?

I would think the 6 LED would fit the M6 slot but I haven't tried it. Are you replacing all your Polargs with the 6 LEDs? And I too would love to hear about the ignition!!!

nop, i am not replacing the polarg, if i do that it would be more money and i will need to go through my wife, hahaha.... nah, i don't like spending extra money on replacing. maybe when they go bad i will go with LED if they are good, but right now, just trying to complete the color scheme

194 & 168 basically share the same base....so you can interchange whichever bulb you wish....as long as it fits thru the housing opening.

I may be wrong but I don't think the 194/168 is bright enough to be the reverse lights.

well...i guess I have to test them out then....LOL.

I got M6 in there right now....they are 18 watts. I could use 6-LED bulbs...but they project the light straight out and don't use much of the chrome reflectors in there. I also have the 1 LED Inverted bulb which projects the light to the sides only....which may appear just as bright.

Then there may be an issue with getting a load equalizer to calm down the hyperblinking effect

When I get a chance, I will take pics for the gang.

What I meant was that I don't think that Lexus would use the 194/168 as reverse lights on the stock cars. I believe if they did use the wedge bulbs, they would be the bigger ones. I forgot the number though (something like 1178).

Yes, you only need 1 for the ignition.

I followed Earl!'s tutorial on his LS website (props to him for sharing his knowledge ):
