Default Footwell light bulbs

OK guyz.....

EDIT (3/17/2004)....

You can buy the footwell light bulbs (#74) for our GS from this site:

www.superbrightleds.com

They sell their bulbs cheaper than the initial referred site. Personally, I have NOT bought from them yet....but when I emailed them...."Greg" responded very quickly to me...within a couple hours.

I'm don't know if the other Lexus models uses the same bulbs....you need to check your car or just ask Rominl.

Pete

Oh...I forgot to say....

Don't buy the 3022 Xenon Super White....the color is yellowish...much like the stock bulb. I returned that one.

Go with LEDs.

Also....don't buy the #194 Silver Vision Super Whites....also yellowish in color....like stock. Im using the Inverted LED Super white right now in my side markers and wedge.

The 3022 Festoon 31mm Super White...that's the one I ordered...is going next to the both front map lights.

The 74 bulb is in both footwells and the glove box.....so I order 3 of those.

The only one I cant find is the vanity mirror bulbs.

I'd suggest the #74 LEDs....cuz I bought the regular ones (super white)....its NOT as bright as stock....kinda bluish in color. My next order...shipping out on Monday...will include the #74 LEDs.

Henry, please keep us up to date on how those work for you...either the bulbs or the LEDs. After these #74s, all I need is the vanity mirrors and my other pair of M4s to come in w/ my Razos (Options is taking forever on that?). Oh, what are the trunk and license plate bulbs? Thanks guys!

I got 194/168 bulbs in trunk and license plates.....specifically 6-LED bulbs....but you can use M-4 too.

Thanks, Pete! How many bulbs are needed for the trunk/license? I'm pretty sure it's 2 for the license and 1 for the trunk, but I'm not positive. Is this correct?

Also, a lot of people here recommend Opt. Auto for bulbs, but I've been waiting for my Razos for...well...since I started asking lighting questions! Are they just that hard to get or what? Should I look elsewhere? I feel like I'm giving them the benefit of the doubt since they come recommended from here. Thanks!

yes....1 in trunk....2 in license plates.

As for the Razo bulbs....they are good bulbs....but any good LED should last longer than regular bulbs. I dont like to spend too much on my bulbs....Razo, PIAA, etc....imho....are over-priced.

I'd suggest that you guys try using a M6 bulb in the trunk...you'll definitely notice a significant difference.

So do the inverted lenses really disperse the light at wide angles?? I LOVE leds, but don't like the narrow beam of light they usually emit. I'm all for wide angle leds!!! Have you tried the oval lens leds?? I wonder how they compare to the inverted.

Got any pics of inverteds installed??
