Default Question about headlights

Hey all, while my car was in the shop today getting the new tires put on and balanced i noticed that these headlights dont work, can anyone tell me if they are supposed to work or not ? they are NOT foglights because i dont have anywhere to turn them on at... If anyone knows please let me know - kinda interests me that they would put them there just for decoration ?

A local guy with 92 SC300 has something like this. While they look like fog lamps they're actually turn signals. Can anyone confirm this?

Well, not exactly turn signals, but they work in conjunction with the turn signals, lighting the way when you turn the turn signals on.

(WAY too many "turns" in that sentence, I know).

they're called cornering lights. You can change them to "fog lights" with a relay.

i'd use the search button if it actually worked. whenever i do a search i would get zero replies. all i would see is the clublexus logo the tirerack add and the search field with no results. firewall probably is acting screwy.

I personally think they work fine, especially when it's really dark. If i'm on the right side of the road and i need to see a road sign on the left side i turn on my left turn signal and the cornering light lights up the street sign. I find fog lights pretty useless compared to cornering lights. If I had a stronger bulb in my cornering light i'd be happy.
