True. My statement was a conditional statement for rominl (and people who were wondering how could Nurburgring edition be revving up faster) that it 'could' only mean a lighter flywheel in neutral, if LFA Nurburgring edition indeed revs up faster and sure enough Lexus never officially quoted a lighter flywheel.

It is not uncommon for this to happen since GT3 RS 997.2 has a lighter flywheel than the standard GT3.

So the "Orange LFA" prototype is no longer orange ...

Its "Offically" back to Pearl Gray as seen this past weekend in Sonoma.

Last seen as Orange at Autoclub Speedway in Fontana on 2/18/11

Kinda makes you wonder how quick & easy they got it back to Gray

It was also great rolling 13,000 miles on this LFA's odo when it was in Fontana.

"Smoky Granite Mica" FTW

i personally don't believe that unless i see real proof. to be honest, from the video i don't think it revs any faster

I'll have to concur with Henry. The LFA revs plenty fast in its current form. If anything it revs faster than many other cars out there.

So how did they reduce the shift speeds?

Sounds easy although it's probably not. So I'm guessing since the LFA is pulling 1.5G's in corners on the S001's, the Nurb edition should easily do that and more, wasn't the car able to take 2G turns thanks to the dry sump?

Can anyone confirm what tires are being used in the prototypes clients are getting rides in?

Justin changed the shift mode to Sport only when he on the track. I wonder why?

Me neither. Like I said to Joe, I was giving a theoratical explanation to your question on how it could be potentially be possible. The flywheel is the inertia storing mechanism, which is responsible for how quickly the engine can rev to rev limiter.

Confirmed that they are indeed the production version of the Potenza S001's.

They do have amazing "Wet" traction I might add..
