LFA "Videos" thread
Anyway, I think they shouldn't limit the Nurburgring edition to only 4 exterior colors, people should be able to order any exterior color they like, same as the regular LFA ......
This is the actual Orange that was painted on the wrapped prototype earlier this year:
Here it is at "The GALLERY" event in Detroit, the day before the opening of Press day at NAIAS.

Here is the LFA on the show floor under high intensity lighting:

Here is the same car few weeks later in Fontana under overcast conditions:

And for comparisons sake...here's the Orange LFA with the Pearl Yellow:

Here it is inside the Auto Club Speedway Paddock right before Bad Company takes it away to have the wrap removed:

They should have named this orange "Tang Orange" because of its yellow orange appearance.

So what my point is? That Lexus LFA used in the Best Motoring was not functioning optimally or the tires were not suited for the conditions (resulting in the understeer I mentioned above with traction off) or the driver simply failed to extract the best performance out of the car.

WINDING ROAD and Express Way:
Keiichi Tsuchiya(GT500/GR-A/LEMAN24 driver, Testing Engineer, Journalist):
"The sound is incredible, easy to drive too"
"Mystically, despite the front engine, the sound seems to surround you from all around you with a rear bias. Such clever acoustic engineering! The car feels so good!
Both amateur and pros will get the same enjoyment despite the difference in talent and speed.
The transmission shift feel is the simply magical, you can't stop smiling. Phenomenal throttle blipping and shift engagement and timing. You feel as if you became a better driver. You just need to simply be an adult, and intelligent, knowing a good thing, to enjoy its merits.
Each corner, this car will not exhibit any sense of terror to the driver. The balance of speed, corner G's, and braking forces are so well tuned and confidence-inspiring that things just feels very relaxed. This is the true merit of the LFA that excels beyond other cars. One does not need to tense up, or prepare to drive this because its a "super-sports car."
You just drive it as if its a normal road going car, despite the fact that its capabilities are one of the top rated and designed in the world."
Shimashimo (Journalist):
"I'm at a loss of words, but I simply will say, I am on the highway, and all I can feel is that I am definitely lucky to drive such a car in an era that it can exist. It's an amazing machine."
"The Lexus LFA is certainly an exotic. But despite the fact that LFA is in this category where unruly sharpness or character faults are accepted as a norm of the industry and craft, the LFA just has none of the unacceptable traits, and one can tell that Lexus wanted no part of anything negative in this car. As such it is an amazing balance of performance, quality, reliability, and general sensation and enjoyment of driving"
That's the core value of LFA, and I higly value the thinking that goes behind the scenes and in the development with the people at Toyota, and who define a category called LEXUS. Well done. Perfectly indeed, a Lexus."
Terry Ito (Motor Journalist/TV Producer):
"It's great to be able to drive a super exotic with right side steering wheel.
Because its a Toyota, I feel very safe in terms of investment into a product.
Today's wealthy folks, aren't necessarily historical car fanatics, they may be investors or overnight entrepreneurs, who haven't had a long history with million dollar exotics. This car while in every bit a traditional sports car's intrinsic goodness, also redefine what demands they place on owners.
LFA asks very little of the drivers, and allows them to just enjoy the best attributes of a sports car in its best form.
This is one of the most obviously fine example of a car that may make them feel great, the new rich. There are no ill attributes that forces them to live with a idiosyncrasy of owning an exotic.
I want one, it's something I can be both happy and proud to own.

If I may add to this, one can realize that none of the journalists here are speaking in terms of comparison of simple numbers. All of them attribute and credit the much more difficult job that has been done in defining and making the LFA the perfect all around sports road car that is Lexus, which is the very intrinsic nature of this car.

Again, not a word for word translation, but contextual and summarized.
