Default Higher end navi on lower end navi

I was wondering if there's anyway to take the OS of the higher end lexus model navigation and install them on the is250 navigation. has anyone attempted this or know anything about it?

I'm not sure about OS - this may be hardware specific and may be incompatible.
I do that think in theory we should be able to take Nav application from one to another. I'm not sure how we can get our hands on the app itself - I think what we get in the nav update DVD is map data only.

In the 2013 model year, there is software update from Lexus systems to each vehicle, so cross generational compatibility will no longer be an issue. As far as taking a gen 5 and putting in a gen 4, I doubt it is possible, though I am sure if you paid enough money, you could make it happen.
