Default Weird Speaker Issues

Hello all,
Im having some weird speaker issues. I searched and didnt come up with much.
Heres the deal:

When I just play the radio only the lower right door speaker plays.

When I just play the CDs all the front speakers driver and passenger side.

I get no sound from the rear speakers ever.

Any idea? kinda weird..thanks in advance!

The rear speakers are known to rot pretty bad on these cars. If you have a spare speaker lying around then plug it in instead of one of the existing speakers to see if there is sound output.

On the other issue of the radio/cd sound, sorry I have nothing to contribute.

its a short in the radio ...amp handles power so if speakers work for cd and dont for radio then its the head unit or a short in the plugs behind head unit.

It could also be a short in the amp causing both rear channels not to work properly. But more than likely, as stated in the post above, its an internal short in the stock radio.

Ever get any water in the area where the amp is at? Pull the trunk lining back a little on the passenger side of the trunk and reach down in there. Gently fiddle with the wiring. Perhaps there's some dust or corrosion down there causing a bad connection to the amp? I tend to think it's probably something with the head unit, though, like the others have said.

I have a similar issue in my 92 SC400 with a stock Nakamichi radio. When I first purchased the car I had no sound at all and replace the amp in the trunk. After replacing the amp I have sound coming from my tweeters and sub, but nothing from the speakers in the door nor the rear deck speakers. Also, I cannot use my CD changer. I think, as stated above, that this is an issue with the radio. I'm taking my car to an audio shop in the next few weeks, so I will let you know the synopsis.
