Default GS400 trunk setup

so i was bored on my day off and had a bunch of audio stuff lying around, so i decided to put it in my girls car. and this is the progress so far, mind you it is all done with a jigsaw and 1 jigsaw blade.
Very close fit cant even slide a piece of paper inbetween but it clears
false floor cutouts
sub cutouts

false floor setup, now u see it

the whole trunk will be done in black suede prob, not to sure yet just kinda threw it together in a afternoon.

setup so far
alpine type r 12" x2
Mrp-m850 alpine amps x2(mono)
Mrp-m450 alpine amp (4ch)

i got type r compnents and coax waiting to go in, also putting a d3 when i get my new f series for my sc. if ur wondering i got it all for under 400 bucks =D everything besides the indash, picked up a great deal at bestbuy(work there) comments are welcome!!!

Are you going to make a sealed box for the subs or leave them IB?

Looks like it's coming along good!! I remember my first trunk install/facial board was done with a jigsaw, glue, carpet, and some mdf.

Looks like right now they are just in the box and the board is sitting in front of them. I would leave it that way honestly as it makes it easier and you don't have to tear apart your trunk... More of just a cover for the empty space between the sides of the trunk and where the box sits. It's nice to not have to modify your trunk because if you ever take it out, your pretty much SOL.

Nice, that's identical to the very first install I did minus the amps. Have you considered inverting one or both subs to add a little flair?

Very Nice and clean loving it..
I was thinking to do a face on mines also but, I that would prevent access to the spare tire.

Hey it looks awesome im very impressed, and I am thinking of doing a similar install in my GS, however my only question is about the beauty board around the subs....how does it look flush with the subs if its only a beauty board? Are the subs pertruding out the sealed box an inch or so to make it look flush with the beauty board?!?!? Vry nice work man, im very impressed...also if you have AIM or AOL can you email or message me at Griffjr89... I have a ton of other ques for you if you have some free time... thanks

the thickness of the wood is the same height as the sub so i just cut some holes out of the beauty board and drilled it into the box

very nice, i have a similar setup that's a lil more space conservative. my subs aren't visible at all and the box ports through the rear deck. unfortunately i gotta pull everything out to change my shocks and springs. Awesome job!
