Default Will I Have Enough Power?

Ok guys quick question, I finally got my 4-channel amp (Infinity Ref7541a 112x4 watts rms) installed for my mids and highs and now I'm going to be putting in 2 12" MB Quart Premium PWE302 subs in the trunk powered by a Mono Sub Amp (Infinity Ref1211a 1300x1 watts rms @ 2 ohms). Now heres the problem with my current setup which you can see in my signature below, when i turn the volume up, everytime the bass hits my lights dim very slightly. It's barely noticable but if thats happening now im wondering how bad it will be when i put the subs in. Should i get a new alternator? or maybe put in a second battery? My last guess would be a capacitor but iv heard too many complaints about them sucking and being worthless lol. What do you guys suggest, by the way i have a '94 ES300.

if you truely want to reduce the dimming and have enough power for your setup, then a bigger alternator is the way to go. Your headlights are dimming because your amplifier is demanding power when the alternator cannot supply enough. Physics is physics. Energy cannot be created or destroyed, so there is no way you can get more juice from the current alternator without getting a bigger one. I wouldn't bother with a second battery as it will be an extra load on the alternator. Not to mention, the results might not even benefit you.

Yea i thought i would have to get a new alternator, i was jus hoping i could go another route which would save me some $$$, one last thing, what kind of alternator comes stock in the '94 ES (power rating)? How much of a bigger alt. should i get? and where would be a good place to find one? And one thing i forgot to ask, if i jus leave the old alt. in do you think the amps will cut out? I don't know if it's going to be able to put out enough power ...

have you looked at your factory grounds from the battery and the power wire for alternator and the ground for the block. those are important too if they are rusty or small.

Yea, i jus need to see what the output for a 94 es300 alt. is so i kno what kind to get next, i want one that moderately higher, not one 2 times as powerful. but instead of spendin all this money i may jus save the subs till i get my new car, I'm planning on switching over to an '07 IS350 sometime this summer, lets see how my savings hold up lol. Then I'll add the subs in there, the IS will be poundin down the streets, lol.
