<-- would VERY much like to know this as well. My CD cartridge wont eject from the 12 disc Naki in my 1993 SC400. Never have gotten a straight answer on why that is and I'm SICK of not having music in my car.

I'm guessing it's a 95 yr-- with pioneer "lexus premium" sound-- Only 6 disc, but worth it if it keeps working.

Do you have a CD stuck in the player?

I bought the car this way from the Mercedes dealership. While there I asked them to get it out for me before I bought it but after over a full hour of standing around outside in the Florida sun I finally gave up and just told (what had become) the throng of like 8 different Merc employees to **** off because I just wanted to buy the car and go.

So to answer your question.... I have no idea if there is a disc stuck in there or not. I do know that if I choose the CD option in the center console in the car nothing happens. And I've never heard the unit in the trunk do anything seemingly powered related (such as gears moving or anything like that). As well I've never seen any indication that there is even power to the unit as the eject button has never lit before.

Admittedly I'm a bit clueless when it comes to sound system info on the SC400 so any help would be great

I think the light should be lit all the time. Maybe it's a fuse? I really don't know. I've been having issues the past couple of weeks with cd's getting stuck in the player. I get an err message on the display. When I slide the cd player open, I can see a CD stuck. If I slide my finger in and push it back into the cartridge, close the lid and hit the eject button, the cartridge comes out. Look with a flashlight to see if there is a CD stuck. I think you should be able to hear the gears moving though. Based on that and the light being out, I would think it may be a fuse.

Good luck though!!

I guess it might be a power issue then? I've never seen any light in the eject button my changer ever. I bought the car this way in Oct 2K6 and it's been un-working this whole time. The head unit doesn't let me select CD mode either - meaning, if I hit the button for CD nothing happens.

So I take there is simply no one here on the forums who has gotten their 12 disc to work again once it starts refusing to power on anymore? and instead of fixing - we take the Lexus dealership method of "replace, don't fix"? Solution it is for sure.... but damn.
