Navigation Upgrade Version 06.1 Hard Drive
I just received email from Sewell Lexus - Dallas on a promo for this unit. The promo code is NAV06 and will be discounted from the $300 price at checkout.
Is anyone familiar with this version? I really need to upgrade the Nav in my 2000 GS400, and was wondering how much improvement to expect?

I received a similar email promo from Sewell, except in my case it'll be a 06.1 nav DVD; $288 before $40 MIR (requires that you return your old 05.1 nav DVD in order to get the rebate).
Hmmm...even w/ a $40 rebate I think I'll wait for it to be available on Ebay for cheap.

You better check the year with Sewell. The only hard drive listed on their site is for 2005. The DVDs listed are for 2006. Also the promo code does not seem to work for the hard drive. If you have an older hard drive this will be an update but it will not be up to 2006. The hard drive update is not going to change the layout of your navi. It is only going to update the streets and POIs.
