Has anyone out there bought a NAV hard drive update for their 98-00 GS? I understand 2001+ is DVD based.

My question is does the dealer update the software on your exisiting hard drive or do they give you a complete new hard drive? If they do swap out the drives, do they take your old one or do you have the options of keeping it.

My last update was 2000 so if anyone has a NAV HD with newer software edition lying around. I may be interested in taking it off your hands.

 

Wondering the same thing also. I know you can but the update from Sewell for $300 before discount, dealer wants $370 to do update. Darrel said it was easy but don't know anyone who has done it.
