I put in a Pioneer rear view camera in my GS400 about 6 weeks ago. I elected to mount it in the upper center of license plate recess (directly below the key hole). It's resting against the license plate frame. I just had to drill a single hole for the video/power wire and 2 small holes for the camera mounting bracket (mounted behind the license plate). The camera & bracket are black (same as my car and license plate frame) so it's barely noticeable.

I've seen rear camera installs in the trunk key hole. That defeats the key entry into the trunk and requires more work than I wanted to take on. Plus, the Pioneer camera was too large to fit in that hole.

Hope this helps.

I used the cable from the Eclipse camera and ditched the blocky camera unit itself in favor of a keyhole camera.

Plugs in and works like the eclipse without the black box.

Here is another idea, only had to drill one hole and the cam is protected by the license plate cover.

I downloaded a few images to the 'Gallery'. Look under Mr GS400.

Anybody have brief description on how to download images to a forum reply?

He has the 2454. He bought a different camera that fits in the keyhole and used the wiring harness from the BEC103 (which is now BEC104) camera. The BEC camera will not fit in the keyhole.

I'll let him tell you what camera he bought. It actually might be in a CL thread somewhere.
