Rear camera install?
Anyone install rear camera for GS? I have Eclipse AVN2454 and I just bought the Rear Camera try to put it on but i dont know where to mount it. Can someone tell me where is the best place to mount? I'm thinking the key hole any other idea?
I put in a Pioneer rear view camera in my GS400 about 6 weeks ago. I elected to mount it in the upper center of license plate recess (directly below the key hole). It's resting against the license plate frame. I just had to drill a single hole for the video/power wire and 2 small holes for the camera mounting bracket (mounted behind the license plate). The camera & bracket are black (same as my car and license plate frame) so it's barely noticeable.
I've seen rear camera installs in the trunk key hole. That defeats the key entry into the trunk and requires more work than I wanted to take on. Plus, the Pioneer camera was too large to fit in that hole.
Hope this helps.

I used the cable from the Eclipse camera and ditched the blocky camera unit itself in favor of a keyhole camera.
Plugs in and works like the eclipse without the black box.

Can I see pictures of your setup?
Thanks!

I downloaded a few images to the 'Gallery'. Look under Mr GS400.
Anybody have brief description on how to download images to a forum reply?

I'll let him tell you what camera he bought. It actually might be in a CL thread somewhere.
