Angry lost me keys

hey ppl... i posted stuff before, i've tried the search option on my problem... nothing... anywa's, i have again a 2000 gs3, i lost all my master keys , the first one my dad lost, and 2nd time i got into a fight with my parent's when i was 19, them trying to take my car away (for tickets), so i got really pissed off, and threw the key out the garage, and was never to be seen again... here i am 21, using the valet key, feelin pretty stupid, everything ihave to go to my car, and unlock it with a key... i was wondering, if i will be able to purchase a key, and then try to program it with the valet key... and i need to get a replacement key really soon, before i lose this one, and have no key's to my car at all ... so anybody even been in this situation, or know somethign i could do... will greatly appreciated, thanx

Will

Lexus will replace the computer for your car, but you will have to pay for the cost of the keys and to program it. That is only if you haven't had the computer replaced already or lost you keys and got one replaced. Also if the car was bought @ and auction Lexus will not replace the computer for you. You are on you own, if you bought the car from an auction. A single master key will run you about $150.00 - $200.00 on top of it getting it reprogram.

Replace the computer? Isn't there a sequence you go through to program the key? Turn the key on and open and close the door a certain number of times, etc.

Will, thanks for trying search first. I did a quick search for 'lost master key' in the GS forum and came up with several threads that address the same issue. Here are some of them:

Default gettin computer replaced

hey i'm sorrie ppl for takin so long replying this, i totally forgot about this thread... anywa's after i found out that cs of lexus, will replace ur computer in ur car for free once, in the lifetime of the car... i've called them, and gave it a shot... the person i was talkin too, was very koo, and said yah... go to the dealers, all u have to do now is just purchase a key, and pay for labor replaceing the computer, which willl take a good hr or 2, so 65 bucks for a hr a labor, 250 for a key, that's only 315 dollars, i was so happy when i heard that, cause the dealer is goin to try to rip u off, tellin u u'll have to replace the computer... which i found out that is true for gs from 2000 and older. the new 2001 and up's there computer are reprogrammable, but 2000 and older, aren't... =T... well too bad, cause i'm gettin mine for free... oOo to let u guy's know replaceing a comptuer on ur car will cost u over 2500.00... =P... but remeber cs of lexus, will replace ur computer for free once... ONLY ONCE... so don't be stupid like me and lose both key's... u lose one, go out and buy a new one asap... don't lag it...

I ran across this service posted on Ebay (ebay #2479171404) that might be of interest. I don't know anything else about it.

They claim to be able to set the Lexus security system to a new electronic code, and supply a master key with the new code. You can then get uncut master keys on Ebay and have them cut by a locksmith and electronically program them yourself, using instructions in the service manual and other places.
