Body control module question
Hi all,
I recently had to replace the body control module BCM in my 2022 gx460 premium. The problem I was tackling was fixed with swapping out the BCM however the only problem now is the key fob doesn't lock or unlock the doors. Keyless entry doesn't seem to work as well. Meaning when I walk up to the car with key in my pocket it won't automatically unlock when I pull the door handle. Does this require programming ? If so, is there a aftermarket tool i can use ? Any advice would be appreciated!! Hoping I don't have to take the car to lexus for programing the BCM to key fob.

I suspect an aftermarket scan tool capable of this will cost much more than you'd pay a mechanic to do the job. At Lexus not sure they tend to charge a small fortune for this kind of thing. Perhaps Techstream will do what you want but I don't have experience with new models like yours.
I'm quite certain the module must be synced up with the rest of the system.

Everything works except the remote is not synced with BCM. Wondering if anyone else's have any thoughts on this? Yes lexus probably will charge an arm and 2 legs so maybe a inde shop with tech stream tool will be best. Was thinking if I can tackle it better of DYI so I'm collecting information.

For 2003 gx470 to program the key there is a sequence of opening and closing doors and inserting key and locking and unlocking the doors that can program new keys, there is also a sequence to delete the code in the system or load a code from the key I believe, maybe look into if that is still a possible way to do it for free on newer model lexus vehicles? For the gx470 there were multiple ways and only one of them worked for me. There is also different sequences for programming the immobilizer chip vs. The remote lock functions. Good luck
