Hello everyone, have any of you tried buying an LC 500 within the last month or so. If you have how much are they selling them for over MSRP? and What have been some ridiculous fees you have seen?

 

I had to find a dealer 1300 miles away. I got a small discount and no outrageous fees. My dealer is charging and getting $15k over. And charging outrageous doc fees.

 

Which model are you asking about? Convertible?

I just asked Mary @ WSL in HTX - they just sold the last one today, they have one pre owned, not a convert, they aren't doing any mark ups

Edit She told me she has a Smoky Granite with red LC Convert coming with no mark up, 112390$

 

Mine is no marked up, but dealer add on accesories, but I did not know it, until I sign the paperwork.

 

When I was shopping for an RX, they were $5k over MSRP when I sent my inquiry. When they still had it a week later they emailed me and told me they'd sell it at MSRP, so you have to play the game.

 

Most dealers around my area are adding $1995 for dealer accessories on new Lexus vehicles. I did notice Darcars Lexus of Silver Spring has a 2022 Infrared conv discounted $2500 off MSRP.

 

Not too surprising since I was able to sell my 2018 for $80K, when I paid $88K OTD Sept. of 2018.

 

I was able to get mine at msrp. Just a long wait time. 5 more months to go.

 

When did you place your order??

 

January 5th.

 

I placed my order on 8 Dec and was told 4 to 5 months. Week of 18 January received a "production confirmation" of my order but nothing since that time. I plan on checking in with my dealer end of this month. We are scheduled to get another significant snowfall here overnight so I am in no hurry. Perfect timing for me would be end April delivery which would be about 5 months.

 

I just bought an RX at local dealer for MSRP, but there was the inevitable, "Dealer Processing fee".

I am starting to shop around for an LC convertible. Have not decided on new or used. Availability will be deciding factor.

Has anyone bought a car a distance away and had trouble getting service at your local dealer? I understand they get paid by Lexus for required service, so they should be willing to assist a potential customer for the possibility of the next sale??

 

I believe that any authorized Lexus dealer is required to perform warranty and other service on a Lexus regardless of where it was purchased. Sadly, ridiculously, Toyota dealers are not permitted to perform warranty work on a Lexus at the company's expense, although most Toyota dealers will perform warranty and other services on a Lexus - if the customer pays for it. This is relevant to me, insofar as the closest Lexus dealer is 2 1/2 hours away and there's a Toyota dealer 20 minutes away, All of that said, buy an LC 'vert. You won't be sorry.

 

I'm in Arizona and bought my LC, New, from a dealer in Nebraska. A friend and I drove it home. I've had the car for a bit over two years now, and have had no issue with a local dealer servicing the car and taking care of warranty items.

Note:

I do routine maintenance myself. They did the first free oil change however.

 

I purchased a car in Ohio and had it shipped to Florida. Absolutely no problem with service at local Lexus dealer.
