Default Missing button

Trunk release, blank, HUD, Fuel door release. Every LC that I’ve seen in person and every picture that I’ve seen shows that missing button. What is supposed to be there?

Maybe light washers on non-u.s. cars?

Hmm even the manual doesn't cover it.

I've seen a front camera button there once. Probably somewhere on this forum.

That sounds like a very logical explanation

I apologize for posting without searching first. In my research I thought that I had read every post in this sub forum. Looks like I forgot about that one

Thanks Lou. That ITS connect page is in Japanese. This link shows it in English (might have to wait a bit as it loads).

i hate blank plates on expensive vehicles. It make me feel like I "cheapen out" on a feature. In the old days of Mercedes Benz (my first '89 300E), you could not tell that you were "too cheap" to pay for an option. The center dash would accommodate different wood trims to "hide" the missing blank.

you know, the blank just might be needed to induce and control the yellow border that appears to
some of us around the speed limit signs in the instrument display and heads up display, you never know
