oil burn / replace engine
I want to consult with you.
I live in Europe and have a Lexus 2008 GS300 after restyling.
The car traveled 200,000 kilometers / 125,000 miles.
My car is very well maintained but its burns a lot of oil - about 1 liter on 600 - 700 kilometers (I am using 5-30).
After a drop road there is a lot of smoke! (Rubber bands valves). And in the effort road it seems that there is very little smoke (maybe piston rings).
My brother has a Lexus GS300 engine that he does not need and I can take it.
The engine past only about 50,000 kilometers / 30,000 miles.
The engine lies in the storage for 6-7 years.
The deliberation:
1 -Make rings and rubber valves for the engine on the storage and assemble (put) it in to the car.
2. Or make a complete overall to the engine inside the car with the 200,000 miles.
* I do not have to buy the new engine –ITS FOR FREE.
I'm very scared of all these fixes!!!
And are there any effects after engine replacement?
What do you think you would do?
But before removing the engine why not try chemicals to clean the pistons. Try this! Remove all the sparkplugs, pour a lot of seafoam or marvel mystery oil or any good parts cleaner into each spark plug hole. Let it sit inside the pistons over night or a day, make sure to keep an eye on the fluid level. If the fluid level drops quickly then know that thats your bad piston. After you barely crank the engine over with no spark plugs to remove all the fluid thats inside of the combustion chamber. Next I would use a chemical call BG EPR this is an oil cleaner
You may just have a bad pcv, or a valve seal, I think its best to take it to a knowledgeable repair shop that can test it properly
