I just ordered a LC 500 with the dynamic handling package in Infared with the Carmel interior in late may. The dealership I ordered it from got in a Ultra white with Carmel interior with the dynamic handling package that a customer backed out of.
I was just curious to get some feedback from current LC 500 owners if they have seen both colors in person and if the opportunity presented itself, would purchase the Ultra White LC 500 currently at the dealership that is spec’d out exactly how you ordered yours , other than the color or would you wait until the infared LC 500 was built. At this point I’m thinking the ordered vehicle will not arrive until September/october as it is not even scheduled to be built yet. I live in the northeast so if it arrives in October it will end up going in the garage for the winter.
I would like to hear some different opinions or thoughts. Is Infared worth waiting for ?
Road salt don’t start until mid November where I live. Then it’s April that the roads are clear from salt.
However, there’s a couple of window of time where the roads are clean enough to take it out. Just make sure you don’t have the summer tires on.

I’m 2 states north of you. Generally where I live mid to late October the driving season is over for sports cars. Then in the spring, mid to late April at the earliest.
White was my preferred exterior with some have-to options. So this is an easy question for me. However, a major concern was getting the LC I could live with at all. In your case, if you've got a valid Fall delivery window for the interior/exterior/dynamic (which is a striking combo) as you stated, I would definitely go delayed gratification to get what YOU want. No question in my mind. Edit: if delivery date is up-in-the-air as has been the case with some, then you have soul searching to do.

@RCFTE wait!!! You wanted red and you ordered it. Just wait, you will never regret it.
i have an infrared and then I saw white on dealer floor. Nah, I made a right choice, I am in love with it I can’t take my eyes out of it. And it is different based on the time of the day.
white is just white . Nothing else.

Thank You.
If you’re deadset that Infrared is strongly preferred then wait. I have seen the Ultra white LC 500 up close recently and it looks very good! The carbon fiber roof is a nice contrast with the Ultra white. Frankly the LC 500 is going to look really nice with either color. The red is more striking but the white LC 500 isn’t just “another white Lexus”. The body of this car makes it quite attractive seemingly regardless of the exterior color.
Just picked up a 2025 LC coupe at the dealer. Bespoke white with white/blue interior. Excellent color combination that I never thought would of worked but it does. Just had to Caltex Resistall 360 everything..
I hope this thread is more than just a color preference because you gonna get people defending the color they chose. And that’s just a matter of personal taste. The point here is that getting what you want. Hell, I waited 6 years for Lexus to put on Ultra Sonic Blue on the LC. And it’s very well worth it. https://www.clublexus.com/forums/lc-...onic-blue.html
