I failed to advise that the ultra white with dynamic in-stock is ultra-desirable and rare to find ready to go, at least, in my shopping experience. There will be a deposit made on this at dealer's store (and covered transport paid by buyer) or with a dealer swap somewhere possible near by. I faced this and lost one almost.
A white anything is not rare regardless of what package it may have. Lol.
Just search on the used car market and see how many white LC500 pops up. If you like white, go for it. There’s nothing wrong with white cars. In fact, it’s the most popular color cars on the road. However, I wouldn’t buy a white LC500 and say it’s rare. Lmao.
After doing a lot of thinking, reading the comments, and looking at various pictures and videos and I have decided to stick with my original choice which was the Infared, although I do believe the Ultra White looks stunning on the LC 500 and after seeing a lot of Lexus vehicles up close, the Ultra White on the LC 500 is not the same as other shades of white that Lexus uses. When a LC 500 in Ultra White is clean and detailed it really pops and almost blinds you in a good way. It was very hard to walk away from the Ultra white LC 500, especially since I have a feeling I will not see the LC this year, even though I have a deposit down and the dealership told me Lexus approved the order although it is not scheduled to be built yet and it was approved the Friday before Memorial Day weekend.
I think if both were available sitting in a Lexus showroom, you can not go wrong either way. Infared is very eye catching and aggressive, but the Ultra white is stunning and just fits the LC 500. I am very familiar with the ULTRA White paint because I hand wash and detail a 2022 and it really pops when detailed.

Actually the Ultra White on the LC 500 looks stunning and it really looks and fits the LC 500 very well, and the Ultra White Paint on the LC 500 is not like other shades of whites on other Lexus vehicles. So to say, “ a white anything is not rare regardless of what package it may have. Lol. Proves your ignorance. Although being from Massachusetts it doesn’t surprise me.

I know exactly what you are saying as I spent a total of ten years in Massachusetts between college and work, and other than the Medical facilities and doctors, who are some of the best in the world, I would never live in Massachusetts or work there again. The biggest problem is the people within the state. In regards to the comment made, it’s to bad no one realizes that it is just as offensive to put down a color that you do not like that someone else might actually love and own. But that’s Massachusetts for you.
I just ordered a LC 500 with the dynamic handling package in Infared with the Carmel interior in late may. The dealership I ordered it from got in a Ultra white with Carmel interior with the dynamic handling package that a customer backed out of.
I was just curious to get some feedback from current LC 500 owners if they have seen both colors in person and if the opportunity presented itself, would purchase the Ultra White LC 500 currently at the dealership that is spec’d out exactly how you ordered yours , other than the color or would you wait until the infared LC 500 was built. At this point I’m thinking the ordered vehicle will not arrive until September/october as it is not even scheduled to be built yet. I live in the northeast so if it arrives in October it will end up going in the garage for the winter.
I would like to hear some different opinions or thoughts. Is Infared worth waiting for ?
Thank You.
I wanted to quote our thread starter to remind everyone that his question was not what your favorite exterior color was, but whether he should take the bird-in-hand on the ground in a nice color with dynamic ready for delivery or wait for what he PERSONALLY wanted. He asks is "Infared worth waiting for?" That means is the color wanted worth waiting for. I went through this and assure anyone finding what they want exactly today, in my buying experience, was nearly impossible. Oh, and to whomever, I am aware white is the most popular car color in the USA . But that's not why I chose it and worked hard as heck to get it.

congratulations on your LC 500. The LC looks fantastic in white. You did the right thing, bird in the hand. White may not work on some vehicles, but it works extremely well on the LC 500.

Thank You. Yes, congratulations on your Ultra White LC 500 with Dynamic Handling. Great choice and it looks fantastic on the LC 500. And I’m sure you worked hard for it.
And yes you are correct, the purpose of this thread was to get some thoughtful opinions on the “ BIRD IN THE HAND “ SCENARIO vs. Color choice. Unfortunately some people feel they need to dump on a color choice they don’t like. But keep in mind where it’s coming from.

It is the world we live in, own preferences are superior to others. I have the Ultra White and I mentioned that I love the car as is, my favorite was Noori Green which was not available at the time of my purchase. There is a reason why red and white the most popular colors on the LC and it is the choice of many car buyers.
No offense taken here. I find it a little amusing. I know that honey moon feeling when I first got my LC.
Ultra white is ultra white. Same white as any other ultra white Lexus. I have a 2015 GS350 crafted line in Ultra White. It is bright white without any flakes. It’s the same ultra white in other models.
Infrared is Infrared. The same color you can find in IS350.
USB is USB on other Lexus as well. There’s no magic or different formula on the same color code. Paint thickness can be different but I don’t believe the LC500 paint thickness is any different than their other flagship models(LS, LX, F models). The only color that is truly special is the Structural Blue available on the launch edition 2018 coupe and 2021 Inspiration series convertible.
Good luck with your choice. I’m proud to be a Masshole.
Like I said and will say it again. I have nothing against anyone’s color choice. But don’t state your false belief that UW is anything special like it’s a fact.
