Default 2019 - Run a wire from cabin to trunk

Hi all,

I am trying to run a wire from the cabin to trunk. However, I'm having a hard time looking for an opening. Also, the rear seats cannot be folded down. I'm trying to put the rear camera on top of the license plate. So there have to drill two holes. If anyone have any instructions or information, please let me know thank you.

Is this camera connected to a screen/monitor, in the cabin for viewing?

it's part of the Wolfbox Mirrow Dash Mount.

I got part of the back seat off after removing the bolt behind the headrest and was able to do that.

I understand your setup now. I was curious as to whether the wire you were running was only for power...I see now its hardwired to the mirror and you have to run it through the back seat.

Was thinking about doing something similar but hunting a Bluetooth rear camera. The tech for this stuff is rapidly getting better. Any using a wireless version that has good resolution? Drill holes in the car? NWIH!!

From memory the seat base pulls out upwards then you can unbolt the lower bit of the seat backs. The base clips are easy to break. Mines a convertible and I did get a cable from boot to footwell ok but it was a PITA. Think I took the centre console out too but I’m not sure I needed to. I got some conduit through the rear bulkhead low down - that was the hardest bit.

Look at my posts in the last pages of this thread. I installed a wireless front cam, cost me about $45 total.
