Default LC Vert in a parade?

I remember this being discussed but can't locate the thread. I was asked by my small-town administration if I would be willing to carry a young lady in my car in the Christmas parade. Being the helpful, handsome guy I am, I would love to do it for the town. Any chance of the weight on the top cover doing damage? Need to let them know by Tuesday as the Parade is Dec 7. TIA

I might be more worried about the high heels digging into the rear seats, and any rings scratching the paint or upholstery. How big of a lady might this be? I’d imagine a beauty queen in North Carolina is no more than a hundred pounds. What’s she going to hold onto when you wind it out to redline while doing donuts for the kids?

dont do it brother. It's too nice of a car to parade around some chick. She gets all the perks and you get... what? a potentially damaged top? maybe ripped leather?

Let her sit in some 1970's American convertible. Those were all made of metal and you don't need to worry so much about damage.

If you could get some assurance that any damage that might be caused would be covered, then maybe.....just maybe.

Thanks for snapping me out of it, you are correct as there is absolutely no gain for me which means a hard NO. I'm pretty sure this came from several weeks ago when I drove to the parts store and came out and there were two guys taking pictures of my car. Nice that I am the only registered LC owner in my county.

Were they a “Miss <whatever>”? Fried food, lard, and butter aren’t foreign to the South by a long shot, basically a staple, but I don’t think on the pageant tour. All of my time spent in North Carolina was on layovers at Raleigh-Durham, so my knowledge of the area is limited to the inside of the airport, though.
