There’s another single turbo isf on Instagram. His is under the car inline with the exhaust. Based on turbo placement, it has to be easier to go under the car. I wonder how this guy wrapped both headers to the turbo in front of the tire?

 

My buddy Mike turbod his ISF. Its mounted under the car. Pretty neat setup. There is one in Australia that did the under mount turbo as well. It runs very good.

 

i wonder if his numbers are posted somewhere? i would be curious what it makes power wise

 

The underbody single turbo makes 500 whp on e30 with a tune I think, running 5 PSI. I’d suspect similar numbers for any similar build. The fuel system needs upgraded.

 

Confirmed he had ECU flash tune running e30 blend. 500 whp / 530 wtq.

 

this thing is wicked, i like it. pretty close to the same power i am making on the supercharger kit. it sounds awesome

 

It’s easier on the engine too because there isn’t parasitic loss from turning a blower.

 

He retuned it after that. At that time he had just unplugged the battery, so everything was reset. He is making more power now. Runs hard AF. I think he now makes 542/565 at 5 pounds. He might go up a pound or two, but for now its good.

 

That makes sense because KCLV drops to like 15 when you reset the ECU and slowly goes back up. 560 whp is really nice for 5 pounds of boost.

 

Definitely not bad at all, Mike's car isn't turned up all the way, either
