Exhaust tip fell off
It seems like a common problem that the spot welds holding the exhaust tips onto the main assembly seems to corrode and break. It's happened to mine. Is there no way to possibly put bolts and nuts to hold it together instead of having to take it into a welding shop?
As I was cleaning mine it just came out. So I have it luckily it didn't fall away somewhere.
Anyone have close-up pics of the spot welds? does it sit on top and just get spot welded together or is their like a flange/lip that the tip sits in? if there is a flange, could 4 small holes not be drilled and put nut and bolt through it clamping them together?

Mine also came off when I was washing my car a few years back. Ended up driving to an exhaust shop and they spot welded it back on, and tacked a couple more spots on the other tip to make sure it doesn't come off either. Paid $20 and I was on my way.

My bottom driver side tip recently fell off too. Luckily, it fell off in my garage. Instead of investing more $$$ into real tips or new replacements, I invested $20 into a muffler shop that had it welded back on.
