Default High Mile IS F

Hi,

I'm interested in getting a high mile ISF. What should i look for and will it still be reliable?

Thanks

That depends partly on how many miles are on it and more importantly - how well it was maintained. Price is also a pretty big factor.

Just search the forum for the common issues. There are lots of posts asking this exact same question.

To name a few:
Cracked Headers
Navigation Touch Screen Failure
Coolant Leaks - Valley Plate/Water Pump
Rear Mark Levinson Sub Issues

Seems like we need a thread at the very top of this forum with all of the "community accepted" list of known issues to address questions like this.

Hi Pho, add some sriracha to your search as this is a common topic that has been answered MANY times on this forum.

Looks like this is the third posting of this nature he has made as well. You really would be best to just search around. You will learn more that way. Go down the rabbit hole and just do it.

forum should implement some kinda post limit before you can start a thread or have a vouch like the sale forums require. I also still think a captcha of being able to differentiate a F sport from an ISF should be required.

Kenny said it right. I’m at almost 149K on my 08 F and so far it’s been pretty good since 138K which is what I bought it at. The valley plate leak was taken care of by the previous owner at the dealer. I had confidence in the car since the dealer I had bought it at pretty much has touched my car from the first owner up until now. I still will visit Lexus to do service on it just to keep the records going since it’s nice to continue the 80+ records. Good luck on your purchase!

It might not be a bad idea to start an article on buying ISF's, a FAQ buying guide. It seems like this question is asked weekly.

Yeah this gets asked weekly so finding a thread and info should be easy, maybe even on page 1 or 2.

But how well it was maintained is what it comes down too
